In 2008 I realized I wanted to make something of myself, I tried to go school but that wasn’t for me, so the Internet it was. I quickly learned about building my own brand, making connections and showing people who I am and what I can do is beneficial.
Also in 2008 I started a local Yellowknife blog called YkOnline.ca. I stayed up on all that was happening, new, events, info, etc. This project taught be how to properly use Social Media to market a product. I also learn more about other new medias through trial and error. How video, photos, and podcasts are effective.
Over the period of two years, I met a lot of people and made some great connections. I was also building my own brand, which online is KyleWith (WIlliam THomas). The community of people I was connected to was growing rapidly, because I was constantly having conversations , learning from people, sharing what I learn with other. The scary thing was, I was one of the only in the North that was trying to leverage this power.
Sure enough in the summer of 2010 I was offered the opportunity to work with a Media/Marketing company in Fort St. John. Over the course of a year and half I presented many Social Media Marketing workshops with attendance up to 70 people. I also started to learn the process it takes to deliver projects. I slowly shifted in a roll of project manager, where I would make sure that the clients needs were being met and the product was being delivered. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and the people I have met along the way.
As you might have guessed I have a strong passion Social Media and anything New Media and Tech in general. I’m not really sure how I grew into this passion, but I love creating content and connecting with people. I think the idea of being able to talk to someone miles away is awesome. I have built so many connection and learned so much, that I want to do nothing more than to share it. I have always looked up to guys like Steve Jobs and Richard Branson.
The Place
Of course that is not my only passion. You see I’m in Love. In love with my hometown. Yellowknife. Although I’m not there right now I will never loose the connection to that place. I love the lakes, summer and winter. The camping, the snowmobiling, the community and the City in general. I don’t know why exactly I feel this way, but it is something that I will never find anywhere else. All that being said, I do enjoy getting out of the north and traveling around Canada and have a dream to Blog my way across Canada.
The Podcast
In September of 2011 I started a small podcast, self titled, where I bring on different guests and get them to share their stories. Photographers have been many that I have talked to, as I think there are so many in Northern Canada that have great stories, but I’m not limited to them. Anyone is welcome to come on the show. KyleWith.com/Podcast and subscribe on iTunes.

A generous, outgoing guy who goes out of his way for his friends. Can be sweet and caring towards people, he has a laid back and calm approach. Truthful, lovely and Sexy. Can be a bit of a stress head at times, can also hold grudges for a long period of time. Nice to get to know, easy to fall in love with.
