I have been working on a logo for a site I built, that I’m sure once you see the logo you will go check out for kicks. But I’m not asking for comments about the site or how hypocritical I have turned out to be. I’m needing input on the logo. You see I am no graphics designer and can’t make anything look as good as what some of them can do. This logo is suppose to be basic and simple and just get the message out, which I think it does.
You can clearly see the name of the site with a town symbol in between. Then below the line is the site address making it clear where you should go.
Let me know what you think of the logo.
Personally, it’s not really clear if it’s a company, or a town, or like, what the website is for? I like it otherwise though. I’m a little unsure about the uncapitalized “i” being the only uncapitalized letter considering there’s an “L” beside it, so it wouldn’t be mistaken for one, I don’t think.
But hey, I’m no GRAPHIC DESIGNER either.
i just got a 3 hour font lesson from a friend the other night. i too am not a graphic designer but use fonts in videos i make, so am trying to learn.
what my designer friend told me – which i will pass on to you, is that all caps (something i ALWAYS use) is apparently hard to read.
that said i found your logo pretty easy to read…but maybe try having the web adress in lower case.
the skyline also reminds me more of a spark plug rather than a building.
