This was all a misunderstanding and I am so happy for that. I talked and wrote about something the other day that wasn’t true, or rather it was misinterpreted. I didn’t mean to get up in arms about it all, I was just caught up in the moment. I apologize for that. I apologize to the reporter, Daron Letts for the way I responded, I have nothing against you, I think you are a great guy and I have nothing against your employer. That is me though, I can not speak for others.
Darron explains the issue and does a very good job doing so here, http://www.snowcoveredhills.com/?p=4266&cpage=1#comment-9307.
I hope we can all move past this bump in the road and get along. I look forward to reading Daron’s review of Jason‘s blog in the new year.
Happy Holidays Everyone.

Happy Saturnalia, Kyle. I’m a reader now!

Everyone makes mistakes. You’re not the first and you certainly won’t be the last.
I’m super glad that established media does not think that personal blogs are competition. I would hate anyone thinking that personal blog content is meant to be as good or held to the same standard as jounalists and print media. To me, it’s like saying tutors are the same as teachers. Although they both do similar things, they aren’t the same “profession” at all.
Also, personally, I don’t consider YkTrader to be a personal blog. The purpose of the site is to generate revenue through ads and classifieds by offering a service to its users. It duplicates a service NNSL offers, only in an electronic format. The only time I used the site was when we were buying our current home. Otherwise, it’s of no use to me. No news, no good information, no editorials, no investigative journalism, no pics.
Happy holidays!

YKTrader is not a blog. It’s a website of classified ads. It’s popular, sure — it serves its audience very well — but it’s not a blog.
