Let the universe know what you want

Throughout my entire career, I have been very blessed with many opportunities. I’ve gotten to do the things I’ve wanted to do, to build up my of skill set, and push myself to the next thing.

At one point I use to consider it luck that an opportunity would show up and carry me to a new place or a new experience. I have learned that it is not luck as it is the willingness to be open to these new opportunities. To put myself out there for them to find me.

I put my goals and ambitions out into the universe and I let the universe work out how they might come to fruition.

That is my very high-level concept.

In reality, there are some very easy steps a person can take to move them in the direction of their goals. This then opens themselves up to those potential opportunities.

It has taken me a while to understand that I take these specific steps towards my goals somewhat unknowingly. Now recognizing them I thought it time to put them on paper… or on the blog.

So what will follow is a short series. I will identify the steps I take on a daily basis that allows me to put my goals out into the universe.

When you focus to hard nothing happens

I have been feeling this dilemma for a while where I want to do something, accomplish something, a lot but because I’m putting so much effort into it, it doesn’t happen.

The solution I have finally come to and the one the one I often come around to after going through one of these slumps for a while is to just don’t worry about it.

I don’t mean forget about what it is I’m trying to accomplish but stop trying to make it happen so badly. The second I do this a weight is lifted that allows me to see the goal again.

Build Courage For Life

I finally got around to watching Pirates of Silicon Valley, right after I watching The Social Network again.

These two movies, although somewhat fiction, both inspire me. They both show me, that if you have an idea run with it, and don’t look back.

Unfortunately I don’t think I will have the next big idea or have the means to execute one if I did manage to think of something.

What I see in these stories is courage. These entrepreneurs believed in something and didn’t let anyone stop them and because they believed in something so much it gave them the ability to keep moving forward.

So now I just need to start asking myself, what is it you believe in? What can you do to achieve your goals? What are small steps you can do everyday to get there.

Like I said this morning, I’m only 20, I’ll give myself ten years to come up with the answers.
