I was doing my ….err… Internet lurking and found out that I’m actually a professional photographer. I knew I had a hidden talent.

I love Social Networking, not only that I love how they can all be intertwined. I recently wanted to find a way to only have to update my Facebook status or Twitter status but have them both show up the same. What do I do? I Google it, what else. I found a Facebook application called… Twitter that not only showed the status updates of the people I followed but pulled my status from Twitter and made it also my Facebook status. Greatest thing Ever! To top it all off I also have a Twitter plugin here in Firefox that allows me update my status directly from my address bar with out even being on the site itself. So now everything is updated from there. Awesome!
I feel like I literally live online, now if only I could work here as well. I would just move on in…….(Mr. I think you have gone crazy). So now not only do I spend pretty much every waking moment online (which most people would think is a waste of time, but I actually am doing something productive) doing productive things like research, blogging, etc. but now when I get bored I have Digg and Stumbleupon to amuse me for hours. Plus it is a great way to find those random interesting sites that you would have never found other wise.
You must be thinking “wow Bushman, that’s a lot of Social Networking and whats the point”. Yes and No, to someone who doesn’t do it, it is a lot. To someone who is also internet savvy this is not, there are still so many out there that I have yet to find. If you know any interesting one let me know. Now to the point! Pure Amusement, no I’m kidding. I have a dream, stupid maybe but still a dream, I would love to someday work online. Work online so I don’t have to always be in one spot. I would love to just drive around with satellite internet hooked up in my truck (that can be done) but anyways that’s another post. If I want to fulfill that dream I think it is wise to start building a reputation even if I don’t actually get there for another 10 years. I will always be online somewhere. Now I don’t know how this will affect me or not, but I don’t really use my real name. I’m sure some of my readers who I don’t know personally know it. I mean I did just post my stink’in Facebook Profile above. I just hope by building up The Bushman it will benefit me as a real person years down the line when I attempt to actual work online whether it is for my self or for someone else.
One last thing that I can not forget, but have already mentioned. The one thing I would not be able to live with out online. FireFox, greatest browser ever! I have several plugins which make life so much easier online. 1. Scribefire, which allows me to write blog posts directly from Firefox. So if I need to be looking through another site that has to do with the post I can actually be there. Instead of switching back and forth and losing my train of thought (which I can do easily). 2. WordPress Helper, this plugin and Scribefire are similar but different and I can’t use them at the same time. Helper is a little tab in the bottom right of the browser as well and gets me to my site, new post, new page, dashboard, etc quickly so I don’t have to go throw the process of logging on blah blah blah. Neat thing about it as well is it tells me if the site I’m on is powered by WordPress or not. Cool 3. Digg and Stumbleupon I have already talked about but they are in my tool bar. If I “Digg” the site I click digg it. Nough Said! If I want to Stumble, I just click stumble. I can also set what I want to stumble for and if I like it or not. Nough Said!
To sum everything up we have FriendFeed which is like a RSS Feed for every social networking site I’m at. This would be the best place to Follow me, it shows it all. It is also on my homepage.
If you would like to recommend a site please do so.
I’m The Bushman.
So I got scared……. I got a new theme. A really nice one but like anything else I do I always just into things WAY to fast and need to make sure I have all the angles covered. I will need to do some major editing or customization to this one so it looks right! The nice thing with this theme is it comes with a full forum of support directly from the Developer of the theme Brian Gardner.
I have a vision for this site, but at first I wasn’t sure how I wanted to do it. I general blog about 2 things 1.Personal 2.Topics (google, apple, news, Blah da blah, da blah..). So first I was going to make 2 blog, well actually I have to blogs I just don’t use the other one. Then I found this new theme, we’re going Corporate BABY. Enough of this Green Themed Everything. Most of it gone, even my logo will change colour, maybe….you know the one I’m talking about……… the pine tree….. you know that thing you thought was my Christmas tree I just didn’t put away yet! Well Yeah that’s my Logo!!!1 One!!!1!!! I even made it, I didn’t just Google an Animated Pine Tree….. which I actually did first…… hehehehe. There will be some new things I want to start doing, like a weekly Vlog. Video Blog, with news of the week from around NWT, personal stuff and some completely random things.
So Strap Yourself in Here it Comes.
Oh and yes I know the new theme is not up yet, thats because I can’t get into the support forum yet to make sure I can change everything I want at the sametime. Soon enough my readers, you will be in a whole new Bushman world. I should be like the Urban Bushman or something….. Or Not!
Okay that’s it I am officially on the search for a new wordpress theme for this site.
Something with 2 or more sidebars, I’m just cramming mine up so I either need to get rid of some of those widgets or get a theme with more sidebars. It needs to have a big header so I can change it to a picture of desire and must have the page menu at the top apposed to in the sidebar.
Picky I know. Random yes.
Ken and I started to put the roofing of the shed on this morning around 10am and we were finished by 2:30 which was really good. We were able to do one side in the morning and the other side after a healthy left over’s lunch. On the first side Ken was up on the roof screwing in the sheets of tin, 28 screws per sheet, while I passed the sheets up to him and lined them up and on we went. We were all a little tired and had lost all ambition so with one more sheet left to do on the first side we went in for lunch. After lunch we switched places. I went up on the roof and finished the first side and moved over to the second side. Ken started passing me the sheets and I got into a rhythm screwing four bolts at a time and the prosses seem to go very fast. When it was time for the last sheet, I had to somehow stand on sheets that were already bolted down with my feet digging in to the bolts to I could balance to screw the last one in. While I was atempting this my legs started to give, I geuss I had been standing akwardly on it for too long. It was shaking rapidly, so in a mad dash to finish I throw all my weight on to my other leg. Screwed on the last bolt and stumbled down the latter. Ken was pleased that we had finished the extend of the shed construction so we went for super in Dawson and the entire drive there you could tell Ken was pumped by his random shouts of “Yah”. And now after being in the sun and wind all day I’m half asleep sitting on a lazy boy, where I will stay for the rest of the night.
